5.14.16 N(e)ature Crawl

5.00

Discover the plants and herbs in one of our most popular neighborhoods along this walking nature tour of Midtown. Nate Rosenbloom and Steve Churchillo will identify, give a brief history, and touch on other interesting features of various plants along the “crawl”. You will learn about Midtown’s more natural features, discover their significance, and have the opportunity to pot your own native plant at the end! Great Basin Coop will also be providing free coffee to all participants.

In his permaculture consulting business of 8 years, Loping Coyote Farms, Nate focuses on edible forest gardening, perennial plant propagation, sacred agriculture, and biodynamics. He has worked with many organizations and individuals to positively transform spaces throughout the Valley including River School Farm and Urban Roots. Steve Churchillo is an Urban Forester at the City, and is an expert on the history and evolution of natural features throughout the Reno. He is the go to guy on all things trees, and has worked to develop community relationships and education around them.
